ChartNexus - Download

So I was tired of fumbling with Excel to track stock trends and decided to look for something simpler. That’s how I ended up downloading ChartNexus - Download for Windows. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a free app with no known developer, but it actually does what it says: show price movements over time with minimal fuss.

The good stuff

What surprised me was how smoothly it pulled in live data. No manual updates, no CSV imports - just open the app, pick an asset, and boom, the chart starts loading. I tested it with Apple and Tesla, and both updated in real time without any hiccups. The ability to overlay multiple assets on one chart was a nice touch too. I could compare Bitcoin vs Ethereum side by side and spot divergence patterns faster than I could on TradingView’s free version. Also, the interface is clean enough that I didn’t feel lost after five minutes. It’s not flashy, but it works.

The not-so-good

But here’s the catch - it’s really basic. No indicators, no drawing tools beyond straight lines, and zero alerts. If you’re used to Pine Script or even TradingView’s customization, this feels like a step back. I tried to add a moving average, but there’s no option for that. And while the free version handles streaming data, it doesn’t save charts locally. Open it tomorrow, and you’re starting fresh. Not ideal if you want to keep a record. Also, the lack of downloads stats and developer info makes me wonder who’s behind it. Could be legit, could be sketchy - hard to tell. If you need anything beyond simple trend tracking, skip it.

Bottom line

If you’re just trying to eyeball how a stock or crypto has moved over the past few weeks and don’t need bells and whistles, ChartNexus - Download for Windows is fine. It’s free, it works, and it gets the job done. But if you’re serious about analysis, you’ll hit walls fast. Stick with free tiers of bigger platforms like TradingView instead. This is a solid “what’s next” after you’ve had enough of spreadsheets, but not a long-term solution. Download it if you’re curious, but don’t count on it for anything heavy-duty.
