The good stuff

The not-so-good

That said, it isn’t perfect. Sometimes when you first drop into a place, the details take a few seconds to clear up, which can be a little jarring if you’re expecting crisp views right away. Rural areas and less populated spots look pretty blurry compared to big cities, so don’t expect to wander around the countryside in high resolution. Also, it’s obviously only useful if you already have a VR headset-no way around that. If you don’t, just stick with regular Google Earth, which is similar but lacks the immersive flying experience.

It’s free, easy to use, and offers a unique perspective on places you thought you knew.
