The good stuff

The insights section shows how many people clicked “Call” or “Get Directions” - which honestly helped me spot that we were getting more walk-ins than calls, so I adjusted our signage. It’s not fancy, but it works when you need something fast.

The not-so-good

Here’s the thing: it feels like a placeholder. There’s no offline access, no notifications, and the interface is… basic. Like, *really* basic. No search bar for your business name, no quick shortcuts to posts or messages. If you’re used to the full Google My Business site, this feels sparse. Also, since it’s a PWA, it doesn’t install like a real app - so it won’t show up in your app drawer unless you manually add it. That’s annoying if you want to use it daily. And yeah, the developer’s unknown, which makes me wonder who’s maintaining it. But hey, it still works.

Bottom line

If you’re managing a small business and need to tweak your Google listing on the go, this is fine - especially since it’s free. It’s not going to replace the desktop version, but it’s better than nothing when you’re stuck at a counter or walking around town. Just don’t expect polish. If you’re serious about local visibility, stick with the web version. But for quick edits, this gets the job done. Worth downloading if you’re already on Google My Business - no harm, no fuss.
