Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce for WordPress

The good stuff

When you add a product, the Afterpay logo shows up right under the price, and the installment details are there too - like “4 payments of $25” - so customers know what they’re signing up for before hitting cart. That kind of transparency matters. And when someone picks Afterpay at checkout, the order goes into pending status automatically, which is smart because Afterpay handles the actual payment confirmation. Then you get redirected to their site, no extra steps. Super straightforward.

Also, refunds? Automatic. If someone returns an item, the refund process kicks off from within WooCommerce without needing manual overrides. I’ve tested it with a few fake orders and it worked as expected - saved me from having to mess with API keys or third-party tools.

The not-so-good

It’s definitely barebones. Like, really barebones. No customization options for the Afterpay button style, no way to tweak where it appears beyond the default spots. If you’re running a store with custom themes or need more control over how payment methods look, this won’t cut it. Also, no support for Afterpay’s newer features like "Pay in 6" or other installment tiers - only the standard four-payment option. And honestly, the developer info being unknown makes you pause a little. It’s free, sure, but you’re trusting someone with zero public footprint to handle your checkout flow. Not ideal if you’re running a high-volume store.

Bottom line

If you’re a small business or hobbyist using WooCommerce on WordPress and want Afterpay without the hassle, this plugin gets the job done. It’s free, it works, and it doesn’t try to be fancy. But if you need more flexibility, better design control, or official support, look elsewhere. For basic use, it’s solid. Just don’t expect anything extra.
