The good stuff

It didn’t crash when I opened it, which is more than I can say for some apps I’ve used. The driver showed up within 6 minutes - faster than Uber at that time of day. The fare was about 15% cheaper than what Uber quoted for the same route. And they accepted cash, which was nice since I didn’t want to link my card. The app even showed the driver’s name and license plate number before pickup. Small things, but they matter when you’re stressed and late.

The not-so-good

But here’s where it falls apart. After the ride, I tried to leave a rating. No option. Tried the feedback section - blank. I couldn’t even report a missing receipt. And the app froze twice during the trip, once right when the driver pulled up. That’s annoying when you’re already trying to get somewhere fast. Also, no surge pricing alerts, which makes sense for a “low-cost” service, but then again, no way to know if prices are fair either. There’s no real user review system either - just one lone 2-star rating with zero details. If this were a popular app, I’d expect more data. As it stands, it feels like it’s barely surviving.

Bottom line

If you’re in Saudi Arabia and need a cheap ride with minimal fuss, Blink - Download for Android might work as a backup. But honestly, if you have access to Uber or Careem, stick with them. They’re more reliable, have better support, and actually respond to issues. Blink isn’t terrible - just forgettable. Skip it unless you’re desperate and don’t care about stability. Free to download, but not worth your time unless you’re in a pinch.
